WHAT IS A COLLAGE?

The DaDa and Surrealist artists from the 1st 1/3 of the 20th Century were the first to explore collage as an artform, often about political issues.

However, collage techniques have been around since before the birth of Christ when Chinese paper makers used collage to combine materials to make paper.
